The charcoal of bamboo can be divided into three groups based on the temperature at the present stage (low-temperature, medium-temperature, and high-temperature charcoal). The formed charcoal is characterized by irregular shapes. Find a suitable metal container with a removable loose lid. It is important that the lid is loose, so that pressure doesn’t build up in the container as it heats, causing it to explode and possibly injure someone.
Take a clean sock that doesn’t smell of detergent or bleach, insert the activated charcoal, and clean water by pouring it through the sock. An outdoor fire will likely be the easiest for making activated charcoal, but you can also do this in your home fireplace. The fire should be hot enough to cause wood pieces to burn. Removing the lid before the wood has completed smoldering would be introducing the wood oxygen.
